Payment Options

The Winters Healthcare Foundation accepts a wide range of payment options, including most insurance plans. However, we do not accept HMO insurance. We strive to make sure that no one is turned away for inability to pay. We will always work with patients to make sure they can obtain the medical care they need regardless of ability to pay.

Winters Healthcare participates in several programs that assist people with payment. There are trained advisors who can provide enrollment support and help patients successfully navigate the complexity of both private and public health insurance forms and requirements, in English or Spanish.

Under our sliding scale payment plan, a patient must complete a short form (one page) and provide us with a recent pay stub or other form of income verification to qualify. Sliding scale rates vary from no payment up to 70 percent of a customary fee.

We also accept cash, ATM cards or Visa credit cards.

We accept Medi-Cal, Medicare, Denti-Cal, Partnership, and programs like Vaccine for Kids, Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, and Every Woman Counts (breast and cervical detection), as well as Family PACT, YCHIP and most PPOs and EPOs (private insurance plans).
