Job Description: The dentist is responsible for providing appropriate general dental services with an emphasis on preventive oral health care. The dentist will assist with the development of patient education and dental disease prevention programs; standards of patient care and plans supporting an integrated (dental-medical-behavioral) approach to providing high quality comprehensive patient care. The dentist will also be responsible for developing referral relationships and contracts for specialty dental services.
Position requirements:
Graduation from an accredited dental school; a license to practice in California (or ability to obtain immediately-licensure by credential acceptable); prior dental experience required; knowledge in preventive dentistry-all aspects of oral health and related techniques and procedures; experience and understanding of oral health education methods; working knowledge of regulations, policies and standards related to dental services. Experience working in a community clinic setting or diverse ethnic groups along with bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
